  8.         SYSOP 2.11  is a  usefull  tool for  BBS systems  running  on
  9.         either Remote Access / SuperBBS / QuickBBS. Mailers  are  not
  10.         incorporated as  the logfile  tools were  made  independantly
  11.         from the type of mailer being used.
  12.  
  13.         SYSOP was made  specially for use  in BBS systems  with large
  14.         file areas. But still works on smaller ones just as good. ;-)

  16.         The idea is to  get all files  including descriptions  into a
  17.         single database . This  has the advantage  that you only have
  18.         to backup one file  instead of maybe  150 FILES.BBS to backup
  19.         all your descriptions.

  21.         This has the  disadvantage, that aproximatly  550 byte in the
  22.         database + indices   are used  but has  as  said  the  backup
  23.         advantage.

  25.         SYSOP is  distributed  as Shareware. It is not cut  down to a
  26.         minimum  of functions  and has a  complete  manual. The  only
  27.         limitation is  that the statistic  lengths are  limited to 10
  28.         entrys, only one special file list  can be  user defined  and
  29.         the lineformat of the file listings is not user definable.

  31.         If you like SYSOP and  still want to use it  after 30 days of
  32.         trial you must register!

  34.         The registration  fee is  DM 50,00 (or USD 30)  including the
  35.         german V.A.T of 14%  for noncommercial  use. If you use SYSOP
  36.         on a commercial site or use the  commercial version of Remote
  37.         Access / SuperBBS / QuickBBS the registration fee is DM 114,-
  38.         (USD 70) including 14% V.A.T.

  40.         If  you  already  used SYSOP  it  will  update  all  database
  41.         structures on the first run.
